REVIEW OF THREE PICTOPLASMA ANIMATIONS - 3
ADAM ELLIOT - COUSIN
Narration about a guy's cousin. Demonstrates how you can twist a relatively normal transcript into a visually interesting model animation. Not quite Creature Comfort standard and it looks a little dated, but fun all the same.

Into Pieces from Guilherme Marcondes on Vimeo.
More cut out / 3D animation, nice use of watercolour paper texture and crazy angles combining hand drawn, painted scenes with photographic features. The extreme angles and distorted perspective works really well in the 3D environment in which it was created, as do the expressions on the characters features. the characters themselves are interesting and quite unconventional giving the animation a really nice identity.

This animation combines an interesting use of textures and very geometric use of shapes to create a curious bunch of characters. The style is completely 2 dimensional, but occasionally uses full colour photography such as gravel or stone within the two dimensions. Interesting use of simple sounds and and music to portray voices and mood.

CUT OUT ANIMATION - The Tale of How - by The Black Heart Gang
Pretty amazing and intricately multi-layered cut out animation combined with the odd 3D element and real movie splashes of water.

madagascar, carnet de voyage, extrait - by bastien dubois
A small section of a longer 'short film' showing a multitude of techniques, bring what looks like 2D painted and drawn illustrations to life, appears to combine, 3D with rotoscope and cutout.
